SIA Jūrmalas mežaparki has been manufacturing and installing children’s playgrounds since 2002. During these years, the company has implemented several large-scale projects and year after year, accumulating experience and improving its products, the company has become the largest playground manufacturer in Latvia.
Due to the poor thermal insulation condition of the company’s production building (old wooden windows, wooden gates, uninsulated walls, foundations, roof, ceilings), the building had high heat losses, which significantly affected the building’s energy efficiency and increased the company’s economic costs.
As the existing boilers were not able to produce heat for heating the building and the condition of the production building did not allow for efficient use of the produced heat energy, the company’s management decided to implement energy efficiency improvement activities in the company’s production building. Co-financing from European funds was attracted for the implementation of the project.
Within the project, insulation and renovation works of SIA Jūrmalas mežsparki production building were performed, as well as reconstruction of the heating system, as a result of which efficient use of energy resources, reduction of energy consumption for heating and CO2 emissions were promoted, in addition, a complete switch to RES fuel.
